Trainee Sign Language Interpreters may not work in the legal domain - courts, police, legal processes, etc. - or in mental health settings but they are available for other domains.  Trainees are undertaking training or a development plan, supervised or mentored by an appropriately qualified or experienced Registered Sign Language Interpreter and have sufficient interpreter training or experience to be aware of appropriate areas of work. Trainee Interpreters are regulated by the NRCPD.
